This week, we saw the first look at Brenton Thwaites’ Robin in the live-action Titans show that is slated to hit DC’s upcoming streaming service in 2018. Although Thwaites will be playing the Dick Grayson version of the character, pop star Nick Jonas is down to play another version.

During an interview with ComicBook.com for his role in the upcoming Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Nick was presented a photo of Nightwing and asked if he would be interested in such a role. He had this to say:

“I would. I’d be super down for this. I didn’t know there was people vying for me to play this role but keep the chatter alive people! If you vote for me, maybe they’ll cast me in it! And then, I don’t know, I’ll thank you all later!”

“That’d be awesome.”

Although he is most famous for his work as a singer and musician with the Jonas Brothers, and most recently his solo career, Nick has been adding to his acting career, as well. Along with the upcoming Jumanji sequel, he can also be seen in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Careful What You Wish For, and the TV series Kingdom.

It is still unclear if the Titans show is connected to the DC Films in any way. Even if it is, the Titans could be in Grayson’s early career as Robin and the films could explore his later years as Nightwing, making it possible for the two actors to share the same role.

Would you like to see the former pop star turned into Batman’s original sidekick? If you’re outraged or perplexed by the idea of Nick Jonas as Nighwing, just remember, everyone hated Heath Ledger’s casting as the Joker too, and we all know how that ended.
