“Superfriends” Part 1

Writer: Tom King

Artist: Clay Mann

A new preview of Batman #36 has hit the web. It features a new storyline where the Justice League reacts to Batman’s recent engagement to Catwoman. Despite the engagement, this preview has some serious subtextual tension going on between Batman and Superman. Like, their dialogue reeks of this “will-they-won’t-they” vibe. The way both heroes are being coy and skittish about calling each other is particularly “Sam-and-Diane”-esque. Those two have so many unsaid feelings that it is ridiculous. And then Lois is on the side encouraging it too. I wonder how Catwoman feels about all of this?
