In the world of comics, it is said that if you don’t see someone’s body they aren’t really dead. That saying certainly applied to Fish Mooney on Gotham .

She has been believed to be dead on two separate occasions. Once as The Penguin mockingly bid her farewell and as he threw her from the top of a warehouse. It looks like third time is a charm for The Penguin.

This time it seems that Fish has finally met her maker and is gone for good. No surprise considering we did see Jim Gordon accidentally run her through with a sword during the finale of season three.

Gotham EP confirms the fate of Fish

During an interview with comicbook.comGotham EP John Stephen confirmed that even fish won’t be coming back from that.

“I’m afraid that’s it. Now, that one was it. At a certain point, you gotta say ‘Definitely.’ People die at a certain point, and that’s the second or third time they die”

The plans for season four are to explore the origins of Batman and his villains so removing Fish isn’t a surprising move. We will see the introduction of the Scarecrow,, the continuation of the Joker’s origins plus Bruce’s new role as “The Mask” this year. With all these extra elements it seemed that something had give. and that something appears to be Fish Mooney.
