Heroes, Rock Music, and Parademons, Oh My!

One year after the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, director Zack Snyder infuses our optics nerves and cerebral cortices with a new trailer for the anxiously awaited film Justice League. For those of you who are new to this galaxy, live under a rock, or basically have no contact with the outside world all together, here is the basic concept for the film:

Keep in mind, the show is titled Super Friends. And it’s a pretty safe bet that neither Zan, Jayna nor Gleek will show up in this film.

United They Stand: Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa

What we can expect, based on the trailer, is a group of heroes brought together by Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) to take down invaders from Apokolips. Snyder is the welder of the Source Wall. His vision crafted bringing this fantasy to life. In a recent interview with USA Today, he shares the anticipation of bringing these iconic characters to the big screen:

“The thing that’s awesome about these icons is that a lot of them we haven’t seen in the movies before on the big screen. It’s kinda fun to really let (the actors) stretch their legs and inhabit those characters. It is a process to make a team out of this group of individuals, but for the greater good maybe they can put their differences aside.”

Batman and… The Outsiders?

When Bruce met Arthur – Affleck and Momoa

Following his 10 rounds with the Man of Steel in Batman v Superman, Affleck’s Dark Knight learns that sometimes it’s important to have a posse, especially with the doom that’s coming. While he is use to calling the shots in Gotham, even with the occasional sidekick, Batman has to learn in this film how to “play nice with others.” Snyder emphasizes how this is new territory for Bruce:

“He’s been a loner for certainly his crime-fighting career, maybe with the exception of Robin. When we meet him in BvS, he’s definitely at this low point of isolation. That was always our intention, that Justice League would be this continuation for Batman to evolve into a more complete hero.”
