‘Wayne’ Trailer Parodies ‘Logan’ Trailer with Footage from ‘Batman v Superman’

Let’s take a trip across the street to the other mainstream comic book company. On this trip, I have to give props to a Marvel movie. Logan may not be a Marvel Studios movie, but it is so well done. From the trailers, it seemed obvious that this not only wasn’t your typical X-Men movie, but that it wasn’t going to be your typical comic book movie either. Those trailers set the tone for what turned out to be a very bleak, thoughtful reflection on a man who had lived a very long life, coming to grips with his mortality.

The tone wasn’t too dissimilar to what we eventually got with Bruce Wayne’s story in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Sure, BvS was far more over-the-top in its comic book grimness, but essentially, we have a broken man who’s lived a long life.

We Got This Covered realized those similarities and created the trailer for a fictional movie entitled, Wayne. Nearly identical in tone to the second Logan trailer, it also utilizes Kaleo’s “Way Down We Go” to great success. The trailer cuts together the voiceover of Alfred’s speech as well as Charle Xavier’s speech from the same trailer, over footage of exclusively Batfleck at his best.

It’s an interesting watch. Check it out:

What do you think? In a fantasy world, would we have gotten a better movie? Or has this ruined Zack Snyder’s vision? Let me know.
