Bruce Wayne’s Cousin is In Charge on ‘Powerless’

It looks like nepotism is a real thing in the comic book universe as well.

In the upcoming NBC comedy, entitled Powerless, we’re going to be introduced to Van Wayne… Bruce’s cousin. Played by Alan Tydyk, the unknown Wayne will be the big boss in charge of Wayne Security.

Check out the video introduction below (even equipped with score from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice):

Following in line with the time honored TV trope of an inept and pompous boss, it looks like Firefly‘s Alan Tudyk is going to have a blast playing Bruce Wayne’s cousin.

So far the series seems pretty wacky, but if there’s a possibility of lesser-known rogues to appear, I’d likely be catching it once in a while. Considering how bleak and dark BvS was, I suppose it was time to lighten up the Bat-related media. After Community, I’d likely watch Danny Pudi in anything.

Set in a world filled with superheroes and villains, the team at Wayne Security must clean up the messes made by these superpowered beatdowns.

Powerless premieres February 2nd at 8:30 PM EST on NBC.
