Batman: The Animated Series is one of the, if not the greatest interpretations of Batman in any medium.  Heck, this series is one of the main reasons I’m a Batman fan today.

Heavily inspired by Tim Burton’s Batman, Batman: TAS first aired in 1992 and ran through 1995.  It was then rebranded The New Batman Adventures in 1997 to air alongside Superman: The Animated Series.   Some characters received redesigns, but it stayed within the same continuity, and even had a few crossover episodes with Superman: TAS.  This would then pave the way for shows like Justice League and Batman Beyond down the road.

The series was great for both children and adults alike.  Tackling stories and themes that were kid friendly, but also dove into darker territories that adults could enjoy.  Batman: TAS was also a major influence on the Batman: Arkham video game series.  It was set within a more realistic world, but was successfully able to integrate more fantastical characters such as Clayface or Man-Bat in a way that made sense.

Having been so popular and successful, Batman: TAS even managed to get a theatrically released movie, Mask of the Phantasm, which is still considered one of the greatest Batman films to date.

Well, with so many memorable episodes and stories, the folks over at DC All Access counted down the Top 10 Batman: The Animated Series Moments.  Take a look:
