Additional action stuff.

Warner Bros. has recently ordered reshoots for the upcoming Suicide Squad film. According to rumors, the studio wants to “add more humor” to stay with the tone of its popular trailer. Now, Captain Boomerang himself, Jai Courtney, has weighed in on those reshoots. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, he said it mostly has to do with action scenes.

That sounds like a more sensible, and preferable, reason to me. If director David Ayer has seen a rough cut of his film and feels like it could be improved with just a few reshoots, have at it. From everything we have seen thus far, there’s no reason to doubt him and the direction of this film. Now, if it’s Warner Bros. backpedaling due to the divisive Batman v Superman, I think that’s where there would be problems.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5th.
