Michael Wilkinson, costume designer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has certainly been spilling some interesting beans lately. While speaking at a panel at CCXP in Brazil, he revealed that Superman’s costume contains a hidden message, which is something that nine out of ten pairs of eyes would likely overlook.

The quote reads “Where we had thought to stand alone, we will be with all the world,” and comes courtesy of writer/speaker Joseph Campbell.

It obviously isn’t inscribed in English as Wilkinson enlightens us, “We decided to translate that into Kryptonian and we decided to put that on the S on his chest, through his cuffs, his belt, through his bicep, just to give a little extra something fore the fan with very sharp vision to appreciate.”

Fans have also no doubt noticed that Superman’s costume is a little brighter in the new movie and has some aesthetic alterations. “With the Superman costume we have a new material. The suit is a little bit ore shear so you really get the sense of this metal undercut coming through the blue oversuit,” Wilkinson added.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives in theaters on March 25, 2016.
