You’ll See Batman On ‘Gotham’ When…

According to Ben McKenzie, aka Jim Gordon, there will be a moment on Gotham where you’ll see the long foreshadowed Batman. Are you ready? It’s…the last scene of the show. When asked at the Wizard World Chicago’s Gotham Panel, he gave the pretty definitive answer as seen in the video above.

“In the very last frame of the very last scene of the very last episode of the very last season of Gotham, whenever that turns out to be, that’s when we’ll see Bruce Wayne put on the cape and cowl,”

It’s reminiscent of how Smallville didn’t show Superman until the very end, another live action show that involved a prominent DC hero before they dawned the tights and fought injustice.  Gotham is a prequel, so it makes sense that Batman would only show up once all the events that set up the status quo of Gotham that Bruce finds in his mid 20s, back from his training overseas.

Gotham will return September 21st at 8 PM on FOX, and will continue to introduce the figures that will shape Gotham City in the years to come. You can also buy the Blu-Rays and DVD on September 8th.
