Tom Hardy Exits ‘Suicide Squad’ Movie

Hardy as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises

We regret to inform you that Tom Hardy, most well known to Batman fans as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, has dropped out of the Suicide Squad movie. Originally set to play Rick Flagg, Hardy has been forced to vacate the role due to a scheduling conflict. The film he’s currently shooting, The Revenant, is taking longer than planned. With Suicide Squad to begin filming in April, it just doesn’t seem feasible.

Stay tuned to DKN because we’ll let you know who the new Rick Flagg will be as soon as it’s announced.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5, 2016.
