On the live-action side, DC movies are only beginning to rev up. Their cinematic universe should be starting up in a year’s time. However, on the animated side, things are going strong as they recently put together their own universe, starting with Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox back in July of 2013. Justice League: War brought this new JL together, while Son of Batman gave this Bats his own biological child. On January 27th, the story of this Justice League continues with Throne of Atlantis.

It seems that after the events of War, an underwater threat surfaces that is so great that the newly-formed Justice League must be called to action. Based on the title and the marketing material released thus far, we’re getting the new origin story of Aquaman.

Yesterday, we reported on a new clip from the flick. In a double whammy move by DC/WB, we got two clips that day. This one features Cyborg investigating underwater and it looks like he’s found himself some trouble.

Also, here are a couple of promotional images:

Arthur seems severely disturbed by what’s in front of him.

Grab Justice League: Throne of Atlantis on January 27th.
