DC Comics is seeing green with Harley Quinn this month. The upcoming Harley Quinn Annual smells like something you might not expect… and may be illegal.
DC Senior Vice President Bob Wayne revealed Thursday at New York Comic Con that the issue, written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, will be polybagged and labeled with a “drug warning”… promising the smell of cannabis.
Yes, cannabis. Also known as “Mary Jane,” “the ganja”, “pot,” “the green” and hundreds of other names I’m not familiar with.
The annual was already promised to have a “Rub-And-Smell technology”, and the U.S. version would contain scents similar to leather, suntan lotion, pizza and what’s referred to in the story as “cannabisylocibe 7-A.”
This…is…hilarious! I think this is a great PR move by DC, and have picked a perfect character to test this out with. I’m not a reader of Harley Quinn but this has got peaked my interest enough that I may just check it out. Who knows, it may get ol’ Puddin’s attention too.
Harley Quinn Annual goes on sale October 29.
