foreverevil7It’s about time to stress the “Fooorrrrevvvvvverrrrrr” in DC’s current crossover event, Forever Evil. The concluding issue, originally solicited to be released in March, has now been pushed all the way to May 21. If you guessed that if a book that has plot threads that will have major ramifications on the DC Universe were to see a delay and books directly impacted by those events would be  subsequently and significantly delayed, then you guessed correctly.

If you haven’t read Forever Evil #6, then avert your gaze now because we’re about to inject some SPOILERS into this piece.

Still here? Okay, Dick Grayson/ Nightwing did indeed die in Forever Evil #6, but according to Lex Luthor, the man who killed him in order to stop a nuclear bomb hooked up to his heart, “it’s not too late”. Dick Grayson will likely be revived in Forever Evil #7. Now we can’t have the series finale of Nightwing ship with a living, breathing Dick Grayson just yet, can we? Of course not. Nightwing #30 has been delayed all the way until May 28.

If you were excited to read about a Justice League led by Lex Luthor, well you will have to wait for that, too. Justice League #30 will now arrive in stores May 21.

Quite frankly, I’m pretty sure I know exactly why this book has seen delay after delay with this one being the biggest. Deciding to go the classy route, I won’t divulge that publicly because I happen to very much like the creators of this book. That doesn’t change the fact that I don’t like delays.
