Nobody really know’s what went on in that guy’s head when he decided to go into that theater early Friday morning. He is the person to blame but the movies nor the characters should be used as any sort of scapegoat as to exactly why he decided to carry through this horrible act, something that Heath Ledger’s dad Kim lays out in a recent interview.
“We can’t blame Heath or the [Joker] character for the incident. It’s [The Joker] fictitious. I don’t know what this does to the character, I think that’s the least of my worries. I’d be more worried about the families and other people involved in the tragedy.”
He further adds what steps should be taken now for America to move forward to prevent such things from happening again. ” I think what America should be doing is restricting the availability of ammunition or revisiting their gun laws—that’s what they should be doing.”
